Good proposal for any bear nerds
A post in the @berachain governance forum was recently made by @MEADGod in which he discusses the issue of the inefficient emissions (basically the senile validators who don't actively manage their cutting boards) which hurts the eco as well as the revenues of swBERA and BGT
His proposed solution is to give validator positions to engaged and active teams within the eco and remove the sleepy ones.
I don't want to misquote, so read his post here:
I strongly agree with the direction of this proposal. I left a comment with some of my thoughts here:
TLDR of my thoughts:
1) Don't think it would be fair to kick out the sleepy vals from the active set, and probably illegal. However, let's empower teams that will be engaged via foundation delegation to them.
2) These changes will increase swBERA and BGT yields, which is obviously good for BERA and the whole eco. No brainer.
3) @berachain is unique because validators can express some subjectivity in directing emissions and create novel incentive systems - let's lean into that.
