Hey Degens, a few of you asked about a roadmap. We do not keep a rigid one, but I can share the broad direction without giving away the secret sauce.
The aim is straightforward. With Degen Hub, we want to give people a real choice by offering a client with its own distinct flavor, something that suits users who enjoy deeper discussion, topic focused threads, and a bit of that Reddit style structure inside Farcaster. That does not mean we will ignore the finance layer. We will experiment there too. But with Base and Farcaster stepping away from channels, a gap has opened up. The goal is not to repeat old mistakes or chase product market fit where none existed, but to recognize that the space is still fertile for experimentation.
First order of business though is fixing the rough edges in our UI and UX. Posting right now feels clunky and not very fun. We are cleaning up the whole create post screen and adding a small feature that no other client offers. It is simple, but it changes the feel of posting in a nice way.
Viewing posts is next. Replies today do not flow well and the layout does not do conversations any favors. We have a new concept that should make threads easier to follow and a lot more visually appealing. Same for notifications. The current layout makes it harder than it should be to see what matters. This will get a complete refresh.
We are also building a monetization layer tied to web3. Not subscriptions. Not ads. Nothing intrusive. Just a fun, optional mechanic that fits naturally into the app. At this stage, the priority is creating unique experiences and features that set us apart, not squeezing revenue. Still, a light opt in mechanic is worth doing if it adds to the experience.
We also have a parallel project underway. It links to the app but stands on its own. I think it will be a strong addition to the Farcaster ecosystem and will connect well with the monetization layer. I am keeping this vague on purpose since expectations tend to run ahead of reality when details are shared too early.
My personal target is to get all the major pieces out by Christmas. App updates will roll out one by one. The parallel project and monetization layer might hit the Christmas window or might slip a bit, but the timeline is realistic.
Either way, this is an exciting stretch. These are features I would use every day. In my experience, if something feels genuinely useful to me, others usually want it too.
One last note. We are prepared to sit through a long bear market. We have the cash to keep building steadily. It is not a concern on our side, and it should not be one on yours.
Feels good to be back in the kitchen cooking again.
