TLDR of future value accrual for UNI holders:
- 0.05% fee from Uni V2 pools
- 0.05% to 0.16% from Uni V3 pools
- Unichain sequencer fees (~$7.5m ARR)
- 100m UNI burn from the treasury
- additional fees from MEV internalization and aggregator hooks
I'm relatively happy to see Uniswap begin merging its Labs and Foundation entities. As I've said before, most Foundations are a net negative for the space: winding them down is the right move. It's a 1st step in the right direction.
I'm less enthusiastic about the 100m UNI burn, since it mostly amounts to burning unissued tokens… which doesn't actually change much.
