> How did you get into crypto?
It was late Oct 2017 and I was starting to get really interested in investing. I think I was even looking into stocks, building out portfolios, and putting in the work. Stumbled across BTC, ETH, and LTC and started buying LTC.
> When did you get into crypto?
2017 was when I started researching crypto and buying, but 2018 is when I joined Twitter and began really doing the work. It was very much early days but was fun to read whitepapers and feel like you were, well, early to it all.
> What was your origin story?
Oh man, well my CT origin story came after my son was born. Prior to that, I had gotten like mid 6 figs and was quitting my job to be a stay-at-home Dad while my wife finished up her job. Although, my portfolio was bleeding out as that was around the start of our huge bear market, but I kept hanging on. Son was born and I lost nearly all of it, and needed some way to make money because I refused to tell anyone the extent of my losses, nor the debt that I took on to keep afloat. Started posting on CT, got noticed by some chads who are now good friends, and am here now working with my boys @castle_labs
> What was your biggest breakthrough?
I'd say it came right around the Jito airdrop. I could've said DeFi summer when I ran it up to 6 figs but that felt more like luck. With the Jito airdrop, I had been holding the remainder of my money in $SOL from around $25 (ended up exiting around 190 or something in 2024) and was able to use the Jito airdrop to clear myself of the rest of my previous debt, around 80k USD. So that was cool to have used conviction to run up a SOL bag and then use that SOL to get a nice airdrop to help clear IRL debts. Truly the dream, and have been able to keep going since then.
> What was your biggest mistake?
In crypto my biggest mistake was thinking I was smarter than I was. When I ran up my port during DeFi summer, I thought I was good at this shit and a genius. But looking back, I think I was just really lucky. Was a product of the environment and learned my lesson big time. Have learned sooooo much since then. But thinking I was some kind of crypto god was really my dumbest mistake
